Edwin Díaz blows another save as Mets lose second straight to Marlins in extras

Edwin Díaz blew his second straight save and third of the season as the New York Mets (20-25) fell to the Miami Marlins (15-32), 10-9, in 10 innings on Saturday evening. 

New York led 9-5 going into the bottom of the ninth but Díaz gave up four runs on four hits, including a game-tying three-run blast. 

After the Mets were held scoreless in the top of the 10th, the Marlins won the game in the home half on a walk-off single off Jorge López. 

J.D. Martinez, Harrison Bader, and Jeff McNeil each drove in two runs. Francisco Lindor, Mark Vientos, and Starling Marte also plated runs. 

Luis Severino allowed five runs on six hits in 6.2 innings.
