Morgan Ames has launched a write-in campaign for one of three seats available on the Auburn Enlarged City School District’s Board of Education. Ames, a mother of four and Auburn High School alumna, graduated in 2011 and holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Le Moyne College.

Currently co-chair of the Herman Ave Elementary PTO and a member of the CCC Childcare Advisory Board, Ames emphasized her commitment to community involvement. “I hope to use my experiences and background to further invest in our upcoming leaders of tomorrow while providing a platform for individuals from all walks of life to feel seen and heard,” she recently told Finger Lakes News Radio.

Ames joins Matteo Bartolotta, whose term is expiring, as a write-in candidate. Only two names, Noel Romeo and Melissa Deyneka, will appear on the ballot. The vote happens this coming Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
