Yankees blank Twins behind Aaron Judge’s four-hit night

Aaron Judge collected four hits as the New York Yankees (29-15) blanked the Minnesota Twins (24-18), 4-0, on Wednesday night at Target Field.

Judge crushed a 467-foot home run to open the scoring, his 11th of the season, before adding three doubles and a walk.

Anthony Volpe extended his hitting streak to eight games and had a sacrifice fly. Giancarlo Stanton ripped an RBI single as part of a two-hit game.

Marcus Stroman fired six scoreless frames while allowing just two hits. Luke Weaver tossed two shutout innings before Caleb Ferguson recorded the final three outs.

The Yankees will try to complete the three-game sweep on Thursday with Clarke Schmidt on the hill. The first pitch is slated for 1:10 p.m.
