Interlaken community rallies for water tower park with fundraiser event

On May 13th the Interlaken community announced a vibrant fundraiser set for May 18th aimed at transforming the former site of the Interlaken water tower into a lively park for all ages. Dubbed Water Tower Park, the initiative is spearheaded by Seneca Towns Engaging People for Solutions (STEPS) and the Interlaken Community Action Group (ICAG), with support from the Village of Interlaken Trustees.

The fundraiser, scheduled to run from 2 pm to 9 pm at the Cedarwood Event Venue on NY 96, promises a range of activities suitable for families and children, including a bounce house, lawn games, storytelling, and face painting. The event will feature performances by local entertainers such as “Hilby – The Skinny German Juggle Boy,” Daemon Box Duo, The Flower Pots, and the Junior Rich Project.

Designed to be a recreational haven for residents and tourists alike, Water Tower Park aims to foster community spirit and provide a space for relaxation and enjoyment. Organizers say the initiative is a testament to the community’s dedication to enhancing local life and environment.
