Officials in Ontario County say a Dundee man has died after a motorhome fell on him during the afternoon hours in Canandaigua.

Around 5 p.m. deputies and other first responders were called to State Route 21 for the report of a male trapped under a motor home.

Upon arrival, they found Jarod Brown, 38, of Dundee under the vehicle, which had apparently fallen on him while he tried to change a tire.

The motorhome fell off the jack, which was holding it up before the accident, pinning Brown underneath.

Canandaigua Ambulance responded to the scene. However, Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

That portion of Route 21 was shut down during the investigation, which lasted approximately four hours.

The investigation remains active at this time, deputies said.
