The Cayuga Museum of History & Art announced it will move to a temporary location downtown while the West End Arts Campus undergoes construction. The museum, currently located at 203 Genesee St., will close to the public after May 25th, according to a news release issued on Friday.

Starting June 1st, the museum will operate from Suite 100 at 144 Genesee St. This temporary site will feature exhibits on the history of the Case Research Lab and downtown Auburn, along with interactive activities and planned summer programs. The temporary location will welcome visitors from Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering free admission while encouraging donations.

The West End Arts Campus project, a collaborative effort with the neighboring Schweinfurth Art Center, aims to enhance the area with new paving, landscaping, and signage. The initiative is part of a $4 million plan to boost accessibility and visibility at the city’s western gateway. For more details, visitors can check the museum’s website or contact them directly.
