Amerks erase three-goal deficit, top Crunch in OT to force Game 5

The Rochester Americans trailed the Syracuse Crunch 3-0 after 40 minutes in Game 4 of the North Division semifinals but scored three in the third period to force overtime and won 4-3 on Brett Murray’s goal at 11:46.

Brandon Biro tallied two goals for the Amerks, and Joseph Cecconi netted the other. Lukas Rousek collected three assists, while Devon Levi stopped 41 shots.

Cole Koepke, Waltteri Merelä, and Alex Barré-Boulet were the goal scorers for the Crunch. Brandon Halverson turned aside 43 shots.

Game 5 is set for Friday, May 10, at the Blue Cross Area, with puck drop slated for 7:05 p.m.
