The Romulus Central School District Board of Education announced the appointment of Mrs. Jennifer Hayden as the new Superintendent of Schools during a special meeting held on Thursday. Mrs. Hayden, who previously served as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at Waterloo Central School District, brings over 25 years of experience in educational roles.

Mrs. Hayden expressed her enthusiasm about joining the Romulus district, highlighting her eagerness to build on the existing educational foundations and her commitment to achieving high standards for all students. She noted the rich history and culture of Romulus as key elements she looks forward to enhancing.

The appointment follows a collaborative search led by Lynne Rutnik, District Superintendent of Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES, alongside the Romulus Board of Education. Board President Rachelle Bateman thanked the community and outgoing Superintendent Mr. Rotz for their contributions. Mrs. Hayden will officially start her role on July 1.
