The community will gather on June 8 at the Elks Club for Pathway’s annual Butterfly Release, an event designed to honor the memory of deceased loved ones. Attendees will have the opportunity to release butterflies either during a ceremony or individually, celebrating the lives of those they remembered.
The event starts with butterfly pickups at 10 a.m., followed by a formal ceremony at 11 a.m. in the Elks Club lodge. This was complemented by a mass release, where many participants will release butterflies together in a poignant moment of communal remembrance.
Butterflies are available for purchase at $12 each through Pathway’s website or by order form until May 24. Pathway Home, known for providing compassionate end-of-life care, hosted the event to foster community support and remembrance.
