Keuka College suspended classes last week due to network issue

  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

Keuka College canceled classes on Thursday and Friday following disruptions to its computer network. The issue was detected on Thursday, April 25, leading to significant operational challenges that prompted the administration to halt academic activities.

College spokesperson Kevin Frisch explained that the nature and extent of the network problem are still under investigation, and cautioned against prematurely labeling the incident as a “hack.” The college has not provided specific details about the disruption as the review is ongoing.

Frisch confirmed that Keuka College is actively working to resolve the network issues and is monitoring its systems closely. The college anticipates providing an update on the situation later this week as more information becomes available.
