The Auburn Fire Department took part in a Senior Job/Safety Fair at Auburn High School on April 29, engaging with students and demonstrating the serious risks associated with drinking and driving. The event was organized by the Auburn Enlarged City School District and drew high school seniors from across the county.

In the morning session, the department’s public safety educators were stationed in the gymnasium, where they discussed career opportunities in emergency services and answered students’ questions. This segment provided valuable insights into the roles and responsibilities of firefighting and emergency response professions.

The afternoon was dedicated to a Mock DWI Incident, executed in collaboration with other emergency service agencies. The live demonstration highlighted the potential consequences of impaired driving, aiming to instill a sense of responsibility among the students regarding road safety. The impactful event served as a practical lesson on the dangers of driving under the influence.
