New Jersey woman airlifted after SUV crashes into Geneva school bus: Three kids treated for minor injuries

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on the crash that involved a Geneva school bus around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 6 and Billsboro Road.

According to a news release, deputies along with Finger Lakes Ambulance, Stanley Gorham Ambulance, White Springs Fire, West Lake Road Fire, and Geneva Fire responded to a two-car accident.


Ingrid Crane, 64, of New Jersey was operating an SUV westbound on Hillsboro Road, who failed to yield the right of way to a Geneva school bus operated by Cassandra Powers, 44, of Waterloo. She was traveling north on County Road 6 at the time of the collision.

Powers, along with a bus monitor and three kids were evaluated on-scene for minor injuries, while Crane was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight for serious injuries.

Crane was also cited for failure to yield the right of way.
