A Canandaigua man faces serious charges after an investigation at the Ontario County Jail.
According to a news release, Ian Woodhams, 29, was arrested for promoting prison contraband, which is a felony, after bringing an unidentified item into the jail.
Details were not released. However, Woodhams is accused of possessing the item while incarcerated at the jail.
The felony charge will be answered at a later date in local court.
