Syracuse women’s lacrosse falls to Boston College in ACC Championship

The No. 1 Syracuse women’s lacrosse team fell to No. 3 Boston College, 15-8, in the ACC Championship on Sunday afternoon in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

The game was tied at seven at the half, but the Orange scored just one goal in the second half, which came in the fourth quarter, leading to their worst loss of the season. 

Olivia Adamson and Emma Ward tallied two goals each to lead Syracuse, while Emma Tyrrell, Natalie Smith, Savannah Sweitzer, and Gracie Britton chipped in goals. 

Goalkeeper Delaney Sweitzer made six saves.

Syracuse (14-5) now awaits its 2024 NCAA Tournament seed and initial match-up. The bracket reveal is May 5 at 9 p.m.
