The Watkins Glen Public Library will hold a seed-saving workshop on Saturday, April 27, teaching attendees how to preserve seeds for the following planting season. The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to noon, is to be led by Matthew Glen, the owner of Muddy Fingers Farm, and Debbie Ball, a Master Gardener.

Participants at the workshop will lean various techniques and the scientific principles behind seed saving, focusing particularly on which seeds are easiest to save and cultivate. The session aims to equip local gardeners with the knowledge to sustainably collect and store seeds, promoting self-reliance and environmental stewardship.

Those interested in the workshop are required to register in advance by contacting the library. The library provided several registration options, including phone, email, and through their Facebook page, facilitating community engagement in this educational program.
