UR Medicine Thompson Health recently celebrated the dedication of three of its staff members by awarding them the Service Excellence Award for the first quarter of 2024. The recipients, chosen by the health system’s Service Excellence Team (SET), were recognized for their outstanding commitment to service and care within their respective roles.
The awardees included Maria Arita, an Environmental Services aide at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua; Mandy McCann, an audit coordinator at Thompson’s Consolidated Business Office in Geneva; and Christine Wittreich, a patient relations representative in Clinical Quality from Honeoye. These individuals were selected after careful consideration of compliments received from patients, families, and coworkers, highlighting their exemplary service.
Each award winner received points redeemable on Thompson’s online shopping site and was featured prominently in CEO presentations, as well as on Thompson’s intranet site and internal newsletter, celebrating their contributions to the health system.
