UR Medicine Thompson Health’s physical therapist, Kimberly Tonovitz, will present a free educational program titled “Be the Boss of Your Bladder” on Saturday, May 4, at Ferris Hills at West Lake, an independent living community. The event will be held at 10 a.m. at Rayburn Hall.

Dr. Tonovitz, who earned her doctorate in physical therapy from Utica College, currently serves outpatients at Thompson’s Canandaigua Rehabilitation facility. She holds certifications in pelvic and postpartum physical therapy and is also a certified childbirth educator. During the seminar, she will discuss the function of pelvic floor muscles and how physical therapy can enhance bladder control.

The session is designed to be interactive, providing attendees with insights into the mechanisms of urinary dysfunction and the therapeutic role of physical therapy.
