Yankees manager Aaron Boone ejected over something fan said (video)

It took just five pitches for New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone to be ejected from Monday’s game against the Oakland Athletics at Yankee Stadium.

However, it turned out that Boone was tossed for no reason. The home plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt thought Boone said something, but it was a fan sitting right behind the dugout.

Boone has been ejected 35 times in his managerial career, a span of 893 games. That ties him for 48th all-time on the career ejections list with Fred Clarke and Bud Black. Clarke reached that total in 2,896 games, and Black in 2,416 games.
