Deputies say one person is in custody after a vehicle was forcibly stolen on Water Street, leading to a brief pursuit. Two officers were also injured during the incident.

Kyle Logen Baker, 29, from Shortsville, was arrested for second-degree robbery following an incident involving a stolen vehicle in the Town of Manchester on Saturday. After stealing the vehicle, Baker led law enforcement on a brief chase to the Village of Clifton Springs. He abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot before being apprehended. During the arrest, a deputy and a state trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They were both treated at Clifton Springs Hospital and later released.

Baker is being held at Ontario County Jail pending further court proceedings. The case is ongoing, with additional charges expected as the investigation, assisted by the New York State Police, continues.
