Starling Marte, Francisco Lindor lead Mets to sixth straight win

The New York Mets extended their win streak to six straight with a 6-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday evening.

Starling Marte and Francisco Lindor provided all of the offense for the Mets (12-8), who have won 12 of their last 15 games. The two combined to go 4-for-10 with six runs batted in. Marte gave the Mets the lead twice, smoking an RBI single in the fourth inning and crushing a three-run home run in the sixth. Lindor doubled home a run to open the scoring in the first and singled in a run in the eighth.

José Buttó allowed two runs in 4.1 innings, while Michael Tonkin surrendered the other two. Edwin Díaz recorded a five-out save after Drew Smith and Jorge López combined for two scoreless.

The Mets go for the three-game sweep on Sunday at 4:10 p.m. Adrian Houser will get the start for New York.
