The Montezuma Audubon Center announced a series of unique outdoor events in partnership with local wineries in the Finger Lakes region. Starting in May, these events will combine guided birding walks, wine tastings, and live bird of prey presentations, catering to both wine enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Scheduled events include sessions at Montezuma Winery & Hidden Marsh Distillery, Apple Station Winery, and Fox Run Vineyards. Each session will feature a one-mile birding walk led by an Audubon educator, followed by a wine tasting hosted by winery staff and a live presentation by Daena Ford from Braddock Bay Raptor Research. The programs are designed for participants over the age of 21, with options available for those solely interested in the birding and educational components.

The first event is set for May 11, 2024, at Montezuma Winery in Seneca Falls, with subsequent gatherings in June at Apple Station and Fox Run Vineyards. Tickets range from $35 to $40, and reservations can be made through the Montezuma Audubon Center’s website.
