Sennett man faces felony charge after violating court order

John W. Flanigan, a 63-year-old resident of Sennett was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office on felony charges after an incident in late-March.


Deputies say Flanigan was arrested for aggravated criminal contempt, a Class D Felony, following a reported violation of an Order of Protection in the Town of Fleming on March 28. The arrest came after deputies responded to the scene at approximately 1:41 p.m., taking Flanigan into custody for breaching a full stay-away order.

Following his arrest, Flanigan was arraigned and is currently being held without bail at the Cayuga County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Fleming Court at a future date to address the charges filed against him.
