Seneca Meadows Education Center and Wetland Preserve in Seneca Falls will host a series of community events from April through early May, drawing nature enthusiasts for unique educational experiences. The events, all held on consecutive Saturdays, will kick off on April 13 with a bird walk featuring the first-ever nesting and breeding Bald Eagle at the preserve, where attendees spotted an eaglet being fed.

On April 20, participants will gather at the Education Center for a composting workshop by Finger Lakes Composting, learning effective techniques and taking home free resources. The following Saturday, April 27, is dedicated to a nature walk through the Wetland Preserve, followed by a journaling session to reflect on the natural surroundings, with journals provided by Acorn Designs.

The series will conclude on May 4 with “Meet the Falcons!” where visitors learned about the falcons used to manage wildlife at the local landfill and gained insights into the lives of the fastest animals on Earth.
