The New York Mets made a couple of roster moves on Wednesday.

The team transferred right-hander Kodai Senga to the 60-day injured list, meaning he won’t be eligible to return until May 27. The transaction opened a spot for lefty reliever Tyler Jay, who was called up to the active roster.

Senga, 31, has been sidelined since early Spring Training due to a shoulder capsule strain. He was shut down from throwing for about a month and recently started playing catch but has yet to throw off a mound.

Senga went 12-7 with a 2.98 ERA and 202 strikeouts last year, his first season in the Majors.
