Venice woman arrested for aggravated DWI after traffic stop

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Venice woman following a roadside investigation.

Deputies observed a vehicle committing multiple traffic infractions. After conducting a traffic stop, the driver was identified as Casandra Calhoun, of Venice.

A roadside investigation concluded that she was intoxicated and under the influence of alcohol.

Calhoun was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, and multiple traffic infractions.

She was released on an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.
