Geneva police are ramping up preparations for the anticipated Solar Eclipse event this Monday, expecting over 20,000 visitors to the city. The police aim to ensure that both locals and tourists can enjoy the spectacle safely amidst the large crowd.

Acting Chief Ronald Eveland of the Geneva Police Department highlighted the importance of basic safety precautions, including never leaving cars running unattended, always locking cars, parking in safe areas, and keeping a close watch on personal belongings. These steps are crucial in preventing theft and ensuring a secure environment during the eclipse.

Moreover, attendees are advised to heed the instructions of law enforcement and event staff, be prepared for any weather conditions, and most importantly, wear solar eclipse-approved glasses to protect their eyes while enjoying the eclipse. The police’s guidance aims to make the solar eclipse experience memorable and safe for everyone.
