FLCC to feature Holocaust survivor Carl Wetzstein in upcoming interview

Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua will host a special event featuring Holocaust survivor Carl Wetzstein of Rochester on April 9, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the main campus auditorium.

The interview, which is free and open to the public, is part of the college’s History, Culture, and Diversity Series. Professor Robert Brown will lead the discussion with Wetzstein, who will share his experiences of being hidden in Holland during the Holocaust and the courageous actions of the Christian family who protected him.

This poignant narrative will also highlight the extraordinary acts of the Righteous Among the Nations, individuals who risked everything to save lives during one of history’s darkest periods.
