The Rose City Drive-In, a beloved Wayne County movie theater that closed its doors in 1984, is making an exciting return after nearly four decades.

The iconic 100-by-45-foot screen, a staple of the original venue, remains intact and is set to light up once again with modern blockbusters.

With significant updates, including a new concession stand, state-of-the-art projector system, and updated restrooms, the drive-in located on State Route 31 near Newark is ready to welcome moviegoers.

Its soft launch is scheduled for Friday, April 5, featuring “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” a new release that has already captured audiences earlier in the month.
