Dryden schools shut down early Friday due to social media post, officials say

All schools in the Dryden Central School District were closed on Friday as officials took precautions after threatening statements about the district surfaced on Thursday afternoon.

Superintendent Joshua Bacigalupi emphasized the importance of safety, stating the decision to close was made to ensure the well-being of students and staff while the threats are investigated.

Bacigalupi assured families that the threats were not directed at specific individuals or buildings but stressed that taking risks was not an option.
