The Auburn Police Department has made a significant advancement in a fraud theft case involving a large sum of money stolen from a local resident.

On Wednesday, officials were in search of a white Toyota SUV, identified by its lack of a front license plate and a possible Georgia out-of-state plate on the back, in connection with the investigation.

By Friday, Auburn police announced the successful location of the vehicle, marking a pivotal moment in the ongoing investigation.

Although the search for the vehicle has concluded, the fraud investigation remains active, with the police stating that further details cannot be disclosed at this time.
