Syracuse women’s lacrosse rolls past Louisville to extend win streak

The No. 5 Syracuse women’s lacrosse team picked up a sixth straight win with a 22-12 victory over Louisville at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday afternoon.

With the victory, the Orange improved to 9-3 on the season and 6-0 in the ACC.

Syracuse led by just two after the first quarter but outscored Louisville 16-8 over the final three periods to pull away.


Emma Tyrrell led the offense with five goals. Olivia Adamson added four goals to go along with two assists. Eight different players scored at least one goal, while goalkeeper Delaney Sweitzer recorded eight saves.

Syracuse goes on the road for its final non-conference game to face Cornell on Tuesday, April 2. The opening draw in Ithaca is set for 3 p.m.
