At around 11:18 p.m., units from the Clyde Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. Recognizing the severity of the blaze, command also placed the Seneca Falls Fire Department on standby for further assistance.
First responders arrived to find the tractor-trailer fully engulfed, prompting immediate action. Engine 48 began combatting the flames, while a call for an extra engine from Seneca Falls ensured ample resources at the scene. The fire was successfully knocked down, allowing crews to focus on overhaul operations and ensuring no remaining fire pockets posed further danger.
