The Buffalo Sabres wrapped up a five-game road trip on Sunday night with a 4-1 victory over the Calgary Flames, snapping a two-game skid.

Buffalo (34-33-5) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game and led until midway through the second period. The Sabres retook the lead halfway through the third and added two empty-netters to pull away and grab the win.

Peyton Krebs, JJ Peterka, Tage Thompson, and Connor Clifton were the goal scorers for the Sabres. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 32 shots and collected an assist on Clifton’s goal.

Buffalo went 0-for-1 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.

Box Score

The Sabres will begin a five-game homestand on Wednesday when they welcome the Ottawa Senators for a 7 p.m. faceoff.
