Seneca County driver rolls vehicle in snowy conditions, escapes with minor injuries

In the early hours on Thursday Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies, alongside Varick Fire Department and South Seneca Ambulance, responded to a single-vehicle accident on State Route 96A in the town of Romulus.

The driver, identified as Cory J. Steen, 33, from Ovid encountered snowy conditions that led to the loss of control of his vehicle, resulting in multiple rollovers after hitting a drainage culvert.

Steen, who suffered a minor head injury from the incident, was promptly transported to Geneva General Hospital for evaluation.

Despite the severe nature of the accident, Steen was fortunate to escape without serious harm and was not cited for the incident. Assistance at the scene was also provided by the Ovid Fire Department, ensuring a swift response to the emergency.
