Ithaca Area Economic Development (IAED) is now accepting applications for its Pathways to Manufacturing program, set to commence on April 8th at the TC3–Ithaca Extension Center. Interested candidates must register by this Friday, March 22, to participate in the free, intensive four-week training designed to enhance technical skills in manufacturing. The program promises a comprehensive schedule running from Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, until May 3.

Participants in the Pathways to Manufacturing program will not only receive free training but also benefit from a $500 stipend upon completion, a guaranteed interview with a participating manufacturer, and the opportunity to take the Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) exam. This national credential is recognized across the manufacturing industry, further enhancing the employability of the graduates.

The program aims to blend online learning with hands-on experience, including virtual reality, employer engagement, and team-building exercises. Attendees will have the chance to deeply engage with manufacturing processes, visit various departments within participating manufacturing companies, and connect directly with human resources. For more information or to enroll in the program, interested individuals are encouraged to visit the IAED website or contact Mary Holland-Bavis.
