A FedEx truck became a spectacle after crashing and dangling over a bridge above Pittsford Mendon Center Road, resulting in multiple injuries.
New York State Police have disclosed the identities involved in the incident, including the truck’s driver, Muhammad M. Shujja-Udeen, 35, from Binghamton, NY. The crash occurred when the FedEx tractor-trailer sideswiped a 2020 Chevy Tahoe, leading to the truck leaving the road and overturning.
Shujja-Udeen was found by firefighters, conscious and alert, beside the road. He was later transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and received a traffic citation related to the accident. The Chevy Tahoe, driven by Niayla O. Dixon, 23, of Lockport, NY, was carrying three adults and an infant. Teyonna J. Walker, 30, from Buffalo, NY, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
This alarming event has drawn attention to road safety, particularly concerning large vehicles and their interaction with passenger cars. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
