In Newark, a new chapter begins for Heather Radhs and her young daughter as they celebrate moving into their new home, constructed with the support of Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity. Radhs, embodying determination and hard work, contributed hundreds of hours to the construction of it, a feat she never dreamed possible.

The project not only marks a significant personal achievement for Radhs but also showcases the power of community collaboration, with students from BOCES of Wayne County lending their skills to the build.

The joyous occasion was further highlighted by a generous gesture from Reliant Credit Union, which donated $25,000 to Habitat for Humanity. This contribution underscores the credit union’s commitment to the principle of “people helping people,” aligning perfectly with Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build homes, communities, and hope. Radhs’s new beginning is a testament to the impact of collective efforts and the enduring spirit of generosity within the community.
