Starting this Sunday, the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN) are kicking off Girl Scout Week 2024, running from March 10-16. This annual celebration, which begins with Girl Scout Sunday and concludes with Girl Scout Sabbath/Shabbat, marks the 112th birthday of the Girl Scout Movement on March 12.
GSNYPENN CEO Julie Dale encourages members, alums, and supporters to express their Girl Scout pride throughout the week. The council has planned a variety of themed activities, from Service Sunday to Stewardship Saturday, designed to engage Girl Scouts in community service, friendship, and exploring their world. These activities aim to reinforce the connections between Girl Scouting and faith, as well as to thank faith partners for their ongoing support.
GSNYPENN, which spans 26 counties in New York and Pennsylvania, invites everyone in their region to participate in Girl Scout Week. Through service projects, attending faith services in uniform, and organizing community events, Girl Scouts will celebrate their rich history and commitment to making the world a better place.
