Police in Ithaca gave an update on a crash that happened during the early-morning hours at the intersection of West Buffalo Street and Route 13 southbound.
Upon arrival a little before 1 a.m. police say one person was on-scene and transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The other parties involved had left their vehicle and fled the area on foot. Police said the vehicle whose occupants left the scene had come to rest after colliding with a building on West Buffalo Street causing non structural damage.
Multiple agencies were involved in clean-up and investigation including Ithaca Fire, Ithaca Police, Bangs Ambulance, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, and New York State Police.
The roadway was reopened later in the morning. However, the investigation remains active as no one is in custody. The occupants who fled the scene have not been identified at this time.
