Macedon woman faces DWI charge after fraud investigation

Deputies arrested a Macedon woman following an impaired driving investigation.

Joanna Collins, 57, was stopped on Center Street in Macedon following an investigation into felony fraud. Upon investigation it was determined that she was under the influence of alcohol.

She was charged with DWAI for that incident, and faces a number of charges related to the fraud investigation.

Collins has been charged with grand larceny and misuse of food stamps after falsely reporting her income. As result, she received over $2,200 worth of benefits illegally.

All of the charges will be answered at a later date.
