Harbor Freight Tools, a leading national tool and equipment retailer based in Calabasas, California, has announced the opening of its new store in Hornellsville, set for March 26. Located at 7451 Seneca Road North, the new Harbor Freight outlet might even open its doors earlier, depending on the final setup stages. Occupying a 22,000-square-foot space formerly held by Valu Home Center, the store is conveniently positioned between Dollar General and Advance Auto Parts.

The Hornell-area store’s launch aligns with Harbor Freight’s January announcement of a spring opening, keeping the project on track. Harbor Freight, known for providing quality tools at competitive prices, has other New York locations, including Olean, Canandaigua, Big Flats, Elmira, Rochester, and Geneseo. The Hornell store’s opening marks the continuation of Harbor Freight’s expansion in the region.

The store’s remodeling, led by the Aurora, Illinois-based Hanna Design Group, is nearing completion within a tight 78-day timeframe. With the installation of signage underway and hiring for 25 to 30 positions ongoing, Harbor Freight prepares to offer Hornell residents access to its extensive tool and equipment selection. Store hours will mimic the chain’s standard, opening from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays, except on most holidays.
