The Geneva Police Department reports the arrest of a juvenile on drug charges after an investigation into a fatal overdose last year.
According to a news release, the juvenile, who could not be identified due to age, was arrested on Wednesday around 12:30 p.m. for criminal sale of a controlled substance as a felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance as a felony, and two counts of attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance.
The arrest stems from an overdose death that occurred in January 2023.
The suspect was released on his own recognizance.
