The Geneva Police Department gave an update on a predatory sex assault investigation in the city.
Jorge Luis Rodriguez-Merced, 30, of Geneva has been charged with predatory sex assault against a child as a Class A-II felony.
He was initially arrested on February 7, but police said after additional investigation it was determined that over the course of 2022 – he committed a second criminal act against a child, which resulted in elevated charges.
He was incarcerated at the Ontario County Jail when the new charges were brought, police said.
