Wolcott man held on $10K bail after hiding from deputies after domestic

Deputies arrested a Wolcott man in Cayuga County after he violated an active court order there.

John Capron was found at a residence in the town of Victory, violating a full stay away order of protection.

Deputies said the order of protection had been issued months earlier due to “ongoing domestic abuse between the two.”

Initially Capron tried to hide from deputies inside the residence, but he was eventually taken into custody.

Deputies said Capron was charged with criminal contempt and held on $10,000 bail.
