Tops employee charged with grand larceny after months long series of thefts

Police in Seneca Falls arrested a supermarket employee after a months long investigation into larcenies at the Tops grocery store.

Herbert Church, 54, of Port Byron is said to have been stealing merchandise from Tops Friendly Market in Seneca Falls over a course of months while working there.

He was ultimately charged with grand larceny, as a felony.

The total value of the theft was not included in a release. The charges will be answered at a later date in local court.
