The Syracuse basketball team returned home from a road trip and held off Notre Dame, 88-85, on Saturday afternoon at the JMA Wireless Dome.

With the win, the Orange improved to 18-10 on the season, 9-8 in the acc, and 13-2 at home.

Syracuse led 49-29 at halftime after shooting 61% from the field and capitalizing on 11 Notre Dame turnovers. However, things were the complete opposite in the second half. The Orange were outscored 56-39, and the Fighting Irish shot 62%, but Syracuse still found a way to secure the victory.

The Orange have won three straight against the Fighting Irish and have not lost to them since February 23, 2022.

All five Syracuse starters scored in double figures. Judah Mintz led with 21 points, Chris Bell netted 18, JJ Starling and Maliq Brown poured in 14 apiece, and Justin Taylor added 10.
