Sodus man faces felony drug, weapon charges after state police raid

In a significant operation on February 20 state police arrested Anthony J. Cromartie, 54, on serious weapons and drug charges. The arrest followed a search warrant executed by the Troop E Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) at Cromartie’s residence, uncovering illegal substances and firearms.


During the raid at 5844 South Geneva Road, authorities seized an ounce of crack cocaine and cocaine powder, numerous pills containing Fentanyl/Methamphetamine, over a thousand dollars in cash, digital scales, packaging materials, and several loaded firearms, including a Mossberg 12 gauge tactical shotgun, a Remington Arms .22 caliber rifle, and a Savage Arms .308 caliber rifle.

Cromartie now faces three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. All of the charges are felonies. He was taken to the Wayne County Jail, pending his arraignment.
