Northeast College of Health Sciences celebrated the grand opening of its new Imaging Sciences wing within the Anatomy Center on February 13, marking a significant advancement in healthcare education in the region. The unveiling of this state-of-the-art facility introduces new associate degree programs in radiologic technology and diagnostic medical sonography, preparing students with cutting-edge knowledge and skills. The wing complements the College’s already robust offerings, including a master’s program in diagnostic imaging, with its extensive resources and experienced faculty.

The ceremony attracted community and state leaders, including Seneca County Chamber of Commerce President Jeff Shipley, who highlighted the importance of this development for Seneca Falls and the broader region. The College received a New York State Assembly Citation for its efforts to expand healthcare education, acknowledged by representatives from the offices of Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan and Senator Tom O’Mara. This recognition underscores Northeast College’s commitment to advancing healthcare training and education.

With the addition of the Imaging Sciences wing, Northeast College is set to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals, contributing significantly to the workforce of regional health centers and hospitals. The College’s President, Dr. Michael Mestan, emphasized the aim to not only educate but also inspire students to make a lasting impact on healthcare in the Finger Lakes region and beyond. This initiative promises to enhance the College’s role in healthcare education while supporting community health and wellness.
