Seneca Falls sex offender failed to update address, police say

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of a local man after he failed to update his sex offender registry information.

Asa Poormon, 28, was arrested on a warrant earlier this month, according to police, because he failed to notify law enforcement of his address change.

That’s required within 10 days of an address change for sex offenders. It was his first offense, according to police, who say he was charged with one count of failure to register a new address.

The charge will be answered at a later date in local court.
