The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Red Creek woman following a fraud complaint and investigation in Lyons.
Deputies arrested Samantha Burgin, 34, for grand larceny and welfare fraud following a complaint from DSS.
She’s accused of not properly reporting income, which resulted in Burgin obtaining more than $6,400 in SNAP benefits illegally.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
